
Sue Townsend born 2 April 1946 is an English writer, she was known as the author of Adrian Mole This books get together comedy and commentary on society.
Sue was born in Leicester, she fail her 11-Plus exam and she left school at the age of 15, then she work in lot of things, in a factory, like a shop assistant etc. She married with sheet-metal worker, and they have four children: Sean, Daniel, Victoria and Elizabeth.
She joined in a group of writers in the Phoenix theatre at the age of thirty.
She write the Adrian Mole books based on his sons experiences, then one Adrian Mole book,The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole, was televised.
She became blind, by diabetes, in 2001, the 25 February 2009 Leicester gave Sue the Honorary Freedom of Leicester, and In September 2009, she received a kidney from her son, Seam, after a 2-year wait for a donor.
